At long last Quadzilla has released a programmer for the 07.5-08 Chevy Duramax LMM. This tuner is called the S2TUNER-LMM and will add up to 110 HP onto Chevy’s powerful new Duramax. Programming combines the use of fuel injection pulse width and injection timing to create the ultimate horsepower and torque curves. The precision tuned timing maps are one of the reasons the Stealth Programmer has the lowest exhaust temperatures on the market. Perhaps the best part of the Stealth Tuner is the mileage gain that you will see. aFe, Advanced Flow Engineering, has released their Stage 2 Cold Air Intake for the 2007.5 GMC and Chevy LMM Duramax Engine. It replaces the OEM air filter and box with a 360 degree radial flow filter with the deepest pleats in the industry and a heat blocking shield. The filter material is washable and re-usable and comes in the standard 5 ply, Pro Guard 7, or the new dry filter material. Install time is about an hour and is completely reversible as there is no drilling or tapping involved.
Quadzilla has released a new stand-alone Rail Pressure Gauge for the 2003 to 2007.5 Dodge Common rail Diesel, including the new 6.7L. This unit, part number RPG3000, will measure the fuel rail pressure up to 27,500 psi, which allows you to know exactly what is going on with your fuel system. We have been telling you to be patient for just a little longer in your wait for programmers and chips for the new emissions compliant diesels. Well, for you LMM Duramax drivers, the wait is over! PPE has released their Duramax LMM Xcellerator 2007 for all GM and Chevrolet Duramax trucks produced after January 1 of 2007. This tuner delivers four programs and up to 225 Horsepower at the flywheel. It will also re-set for tire size and gear ratio as well as reading and erasing trouble codes. You can also remove the top end speed limiter as well. Most importantly, this will work just fine with the new particulate filter. Once removed, these babies are invisible to the dealer as well!
aFe has finally released their Stage 2 Cx Cold Air Intake for the new 08 Ford Powerstroke Diesel 6.4L pickup. This system replaces the factory air box and part of the intake system to produce an amazing 18.5 additional horsepower and another 37.5 foot-pounds of torque. aFe has released all three types filter media for this product. These include the standard 5 ply, the Pro-Guard 7 and the new dry filter media. Take your pick as to what you need.
As you know, we here at Top Dog Diesel are big fans of Pacific Performance Engineering, PPE and their work with Diesel performance Tuners. They have now released a Hot+2 Xcellerator programmer for the 2006-2007 Chevy/ GMC Duramax LLY/ LBZ pickup. The tuner comes with five programs running from an added 40HP to an incredible 350 more HP! It will also correct for tire size, up to 44.75” as well as removing the top end speed limiter. The Hot+2 can also read and erase engine trouble codes as well. The PPE also defuels during shifts to help protect the transmission from the extreme horsepower. You can also stack the Duramaximizer, Propane, and/or Nitrous with the Xcelerator for even greater results.
We are proud to announce that we now have the newest Edge release for the Dodge 610 Series Cummins Pickup in the 2006.5 to 2007 model. The Edge 3000C provides 5 on-the-fly Adjustable Power Levels, Touch-of-a-Button Control, an Additional 100 HP and 250 ft lb Torque and a Turbo Timer. Using factory-style connections in just thirty minutes you can add five levels of adjustable power ranging from 25-100 horsepower and increase torque up to 250 ft. lbs. A special 160 Horsepower – 350 Foot Pounds of Torque setting can be added with a special Hot Unlock Code. To get the unlock code you must complete a waiver located under product updates. The Juice can be purchased alone, with the Attitude Controller or the A2 monitor.

They are releasing their Flashpaq part #3825 for 2007 Hemi Cars. Users can gain up to 13 BHP horsepower increase and 15 Ft/Lbs torque increase. With updates available online the Superchips unit is essentially never out of date. Consumers can update their Flashpaq with the latest programs via the internet in a matter of minutes just by following a few simple steps.
Once again, Edge has moved to the forefront of innovation for Diesel performance tuners with their new Evolution series for the 99-03 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. This new Evolution provides some powerful new features. The monitor mounts on the dash in a custom pod and is capable of monitoring and displaying EGT’s (comes with its own probe), provides up to 100HP, and will read and erase diagnostic codes. In addition, the New Evolution provides the option of changing the rev and speed limiter and will reprogram the transmission for shift points and firmness.
One of the hottest trends in the performance market right now is the integration of the gauge package with the performance chip controller. Edge has had the longest presence in the market with their Attitude Series. This has now evolved into the A2 system that not only controls the chip, but can also include a back up camera and GPS system. The Quadzilla Commander system is unique in that it is capable of controlling multiple chips from different manufacturers at the same time. You can pair the Quadzilla Commander with an Xzillaraider Module and an Edge Juice, or even two other companies entirely. Bully Dog also provides an excellent option with their Triple Dog Outlook monitor combination. They are the only ones on the market that have a downloader that is adjustable on the fly.
Quadzilla has released their Monster Intake for the new 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet and GMC Duramax Pickup trucks. Known as the MAIC2, this cold air intake covers both the LLY and LBZ versions of the new Duramax. As with other Quadzilla intake systems, this one is constructed of steel components and utilizes a Green Filter made of cotton cloth for superior flow and filtration. These filters are washable and reusable so they will last the life of your truck. Quadzilla is also posting horsepower gains of up to 35HP with this line of intakes. For those of you in high dirt areas, check out the pre-filter as well.

January 1st has arrived and the new Diesel emission laws have taken effect. Ford, Dodge, and GMC have all released new versions of their Diesel Pickups to meet the new requirements and pump up the power. The new Powerstroke has been upsized to 6.4L and given twin turbo chargers. Ford also made some improvements to the intercooler and water pump to help out with intake air temps and the cooling system. Dodge has brought the Cummins to a new level by increasing displacement to 6.7L and changing the turbo to a variable geometry configuration. The trucks are also being supplied with an exhaust brake. The Duramax engine has been given some turbo improvements, but the big power jump is coming from new injectors. GM has finally figured out what the performance market has known for years, use a seven hole injector, and you get much better performance. They are also going to an electrically controlled fan to help avoid power bleed off. Consequently, right now, Chevy is in the lead in the Horsepower Race, with the Duramax coming in at 365 HP.
True Flow has added the Xtreme Duty Intake, or XDi line for heavily modified trucks with both diesel and gas engines. Their past philosophy has always been to use as much of the stock system as possible to hold down cost while supplying enough air to allow for a medium level of modifications. Now, they have decided to step into the extreme modification arena. They are replacing the entire filter box as well as the intake tubing to allow for maximum air flow for heavily modified trucks. This can be a great intake for some of the higher horsepower chips such as Quadzilla Xzillaraiders or PPE. The tubing is a polished tubing to improve show qualities as well.
Quadzilla has finally released the Stealth Tuner for the 06-07 Chevy GMC Duramax Engine, the S2TUNER-LBZ. This unit works on the 4500 and 5500 Top Kick and Kodiak as well. They have really gotten something out of this one, up to 135HP and 300 ft/lbs of torque! You can also reset the speedometer for tire size and gear ratio! It will also remove the top end speed limiter and reset the transmission. Quadzilla is telling us that this programmer will add 2-4 more mpg. This is critical with the economy losses we are seeing on the new Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel Fuel.

Quadzilla has released the latest version of their Stealth 2 Gas Tuner. The software now covers all Chevy /GMC Pickups and SUV's from 98 through 07. Only the 06 and 07 8.1L engines are not covered. It also does not work on the flex fuel configuration. This programmer works on Cadillacs, H2's, Avalanches or any other GM truck application with a V6 or V8 engine. This marks two new things, a return to a plug and play module for a Chevy, and a catch up on the GMC releases. It has been too long since Quadzilla had anything out for the new Chevy. We were starting to worry that it would be the 08 model that finally saw a release… As of this writing, the new Quadzilla Stealth 2 Tuner is only a couple of weeks away. However, we do have the PPE Duramax Excellelrator in stock for the LLY LBZ models
There are many companies out there making some very good cold air intake systems, so why do we here at Top Dog Diesel believe so strongly in the True Flow intakes and filters? Performance vs. cost is one of the primary reasons. For many applications, especially Dodge and Chevy, it is almost impossible to beat the horsepower gains that True Flow delivers, especially when you also consider the price. Quadzilla has just announced a major price reduction for their diesel performance chips and modules for the Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. This applies to the 94-03 F-Chip, Commander gauge packages, and Xzillaraider modules for the 99-03 models. The XZT, already really cheap, was not affected. We are passing these savings on to you.
There has been a lot of news in the world of diesel performance this week in relation to the new 2007 Diesel Pickups from Ford and Chevy. Basically, Ford is releasing the 07 Powerstroke with no real modifications from the 2006 model. Like Chevy and Dodge, they are not ready to release the Ultra Low Sulfur/ low emissions version. We just confirmed that the Quadzilla Xzillaraider, XZT, and Commander packages will work on the 07 just like the 06. We will be talking with Edge, Pacific Performance Engineering, BullyDog and the others to see if they are also compliant with the 07 models.
At long last some of the better companies have begun to release products for the new Chevy/ GMC Duramax trucks and even the Hummer H1 Alpha. With the new LBZ engine came several new complications and it has taken a while for the aftermarket to respond. Edge has just announced their new Chevy GM Juice module with Attitude package. This package is just out, but we have them! PPE continues on with their Duramax LLY and LBZ Xcellerator 2006. Quadzilla is in the final stages of development with their new Stealth Tuner for the 06 as well. Their factory told us today that they have ordered in the first production boards and the release is imminent.
After doing some extensive research, we here at Top Dog Diesel have decided to add Pacific Performance Engineering (PPE) to our product line. As you know, we are careful about the performance products that we carry, as we want you our customer to be excited about the product that you have purchased. We feel that PPE brings some excellent items to the table and offer some substantial horsepower gains. They have an excellent programmer out for the 2006 LBZ Duramax as well as the 06 Hummer H-1 Alpha. They are primarily loaded to the Diesel performance market, but they have some interesting GM Gas tuners as well as some Corvette and other GM sports car downloaders.
Edge has finally released their newest gas tuner for the F-150 with either the 4.6L or 5.4L Triton V-8 Motor. This programmer combines all the ease and features of the Evolution with the monitoring and control of the Attitude. The new EEF2400 yields and added 35 Horsepower on the 04-06 F-150. Edge has really rolled out the features, as the controller will display up to four of 19 different parameters at one time. The Evolution screen monitors engine load, engine oil temp, coolant temp, and transmission fluid temp. The screen color can also be adjusted to allow you to match the factory gauges.
Quadzilla has finally stepped into the car performance market. They have quietly released a new tuner that works on Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Corvette Sports Cars. The new gas programmer is configured like the current Stealth 2 Gas Tuner for GM Trucks, but it works on several different GM sports cars and has a different part number, CQZSTEALTHG-C.
